1st PhD school - day 6

Course S1 and C3

On 28 September the fellows had the course S1, while the supervisors had the course C3. The day also included secondment planning and the kick-off dinner.

The fellows all had the course S1 'Sampling and Monitoring of natural toxins in plants, sediment/soil, groundwater and freshwater', which was organized by Thomas Bucheli from WBF. Besides Thomas the course included the teachers Bo Svensmark, Klára Hilscherová, and Carmel Ramwell.

In the meantime the supervisors had the course C3 'Supervision course training for Supervisors’. This course included lectures by Mark de Vos from International Staff Mobility from UCPH, who talked about intercultural communication.

S1 included two poster sessions, where the supervisors joined and the fellows presented posters on the topic of sampling. These posters were afterwards used to discuss and plan the upcoming secondments for each fellow.

The Advisory Board also arrived at the secondments planning and therefore had a chance to inspect the posters and talk to the fellows individually.

The day ended with a kick-off dinner at Restaurant Kronborg Havbad in Helsingør.
